Get to KNOW Lexi

Yolexis (Lexi) Perez started her journey with The Cove as a Youth Advocate in October 2022. Lexi is a local Wacoan, born and raised in Waco, Texas. She is a proud University High School alumni as they state, “Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan.” Lexi earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a double major in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies and a minor in Business Management. After graduating from SHSU, Lexi returned to her hometown of Waco to begin her journey in the legal field, help her family run the family business, and continue her studies. She earned her Paralegal degree from McLennan Community College. Lexi completed two internships throughout her studies for her Paralegal degree and her current ongoing studies to earn her Social Work Master’s from Baylor University at the McLennan County Office of the Attorney General IV-D Court and at Waco Independent School District Highly Mobile Student Services department. Through these experiences, Lexi discovered her passion for helping people.
